🔑 Setting up Gemini API Key

Get your free API key from Google AI Studio to unlock Sarthi AI features like personalized verse recommendations and AI-powered translations.

Step 1

Open Google AI Studio

Visit aistudio.google.com/apikey and click "Create API key" button.

Step 2

Give API Key Name

Give name for new key for the Bhagavad Gita app.

Step 3

Select Project

Choose "Create Project" to create new project.

Step 4

Finalize API Key Creation

Click Create to finalize key creation.

Step 5

API Key Generated

Your API key is now generated!

Step 6

Copy & Paste

Click the copy button to copy it to your clipboard. Paste your API key in the input field and tap "Save". You're all set to use Sarthi AI! ✨

Pro Tip: The Gemini API has a generous free tier. Your personal use of Sarthi AI will likely stay within the free limits.

Step 1

Open in Safari

Make sure you're viewing the app in Safari browser. Tap the "three dot" button at the bottom of the screen.

Tap Share button

Tap the "Share" button on screen.

Tap More button

Tap the "More" button on screen.

Find Add to Home Screen

Scroll down in the share menu and tap "Add to Home Screen" option.

Confirm App Name

You can customize the app name or keep "Bhagavad Gita". Tap "Add" in the top right corner.

Open in Chrome

Open the app in Chrome browser (https://gitagyan.github.io). Tap the Install button if prompted. It not, dont worry, move to step-2.

Step 2

Tap Menu (⋮)

Open the app in Chrome browser. Tap the three-dot menu icon (⋮) in the top right corner of the screen.

Step 3

Add to Home Screen

Scroll down in the menu and tap "Add to Home screen" option.

Step 4

Confirm Installation

A dialog will appear. You can customize the app name or keep "Bhagavad Gita". Tap "Install" to confirm.
